This once-closed and forbidden Buddhist region of the Indian Himalayas, located at altitudes of 4200m (14000ft) and higher, has long attracted spiritual mystics with its grandeur and magic, awakening the most hidden aspects of the seeker's true Self.

We'll combine a 3-day hiking trek around the Sham Valley, camping in tents for overnight stays, with the scenic drives to the enchanting valleys and lakes, with breaks in Leh- the miniature capital of Ladakh region.

Tantric Practices
During the journey, there will be an opportunity to experience Tantric practices of nervous system regulation from traditions of Sufism, Buddhism, and Yoga.
Participants can expect:
  • Himalayan Yoga practices in the mornings
  • Embodiment and breathwork practices
  • Subtle body Tantric techniques: meditations, mantra visualizations
  • Psychosomatic release and therapeutic exercises

Day 1
Day 1
Arrival in Leh and Acclimatization
  • Arrival in Leh airport after a short 50mins flight from Delhi.
  • Transfer to your accommodation in Leh.
  • Rest and acclimatization to the altitude (3,500 meters / 11,500 feet).
  • Light activities, exploring Leh.
Arrival to Leh, the capital of Ladakh, a region steeped in Tibetan Buddhist culture and breathtaking Himalayan scenery. After settling into your hotel, take a stroll through the charming old town, a labyrinth of narrow lanes and ancient stupas, and feel the energy of this ancient trading hub.

Spituk and Namgyal Tsemo Monasteries
  • Visit to Spituk Gompa, a monastery with a rich history.
  • Visit to Namgyal Tsemo Monastery, known for its hilltop location and views.
Explore ancient monasteries perched atop dramatic cliffs, like Spituk and Namgyal Tsemo, and discover the rich history of Tibetan Buddhism. Witness stunning mountain vistas and imagine the caravans that once traversed these Silk Road routes.

Mulbekh and the Maitreya Buddha
  • Travel from Leh to the West towards the magnificent statue of a future coming Buddha. Staying the night back at Leh
Encounter the awe-inspiring 9-meter Maitreya Buddha carved into a cliff face at Mulbekh. Journey through surreal, moon-like landscapes to Lamayuru, a monastery seemingly sculpted from the mountains themselves.

Lamayuru, Alchi, and Saspol Caves
  • Visit to the most ancient Tantric monasteries existed to date
  • Meditation and self-reflection in the hermit shelters of ancient mystics
Discover the vibrant frescoes and unique Kashmiri Buddhist art at Alchi Gompa, a hidden gem of Ladakh. Delve into the ancient Saspol Caves, where you can meditate amidst the energy of centuries of spiritual practice.

Thiksey, Stakna, Hemis, Jesus Cave, and Camp
  • Morning puja prayer ceremonies in Thiksey monastery
  • Visiting the monasteries believed to host Jesus Christ himself during his pilgrimage to Kashmir area.
  • Overnight stay at our first campground.
Witness the mesmerizing morning prayers at Thiksey Monastery and experience the tranquility of Stakna. Explore the legendary Hemis Monastery said to keep the manuscripts of Christ's further teachings before transferring to your campsite to prepare for an unforgettable trek.

Trek Day 1: Shang Sumdo to Shang Phu (4,400m/14,436ft)
  • Starting the trek through the Sham Valley.
  • Enjoying the scenic views and cultural immersion.
  • Opportunities for meditation and self-reflection.
  • Overnight stays in camping tents each night.
Embark on a thrilling trek through the heart of Ladakh (mountain ponies available for those having difficulties to trek by foot). Hike through picturesque valleys and over high passes, surrounded by pristine wilderness and breathtaking views.

Trek Day 2: Shang Phu to Matho Phu (4,350m/14,272ft)
  • 3 hrs ascent to ShangLa pass and a break
  • 3 hrs descend to Matho Phu
  • Overnight stay in campground
Challenge yourself with an invigorating trek over the Shangla Pass, rewarded by panoramic views of towering peaks. Camp under a blanket of stars, far from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Trek Day 3: Matho Phu to Matho Village
  • Yoga and ascend to the Mathu Chu viewpoint with lunch
  • Trekking down to Matho Village
  • Drive back to Leh (45 mins)
Trek down to the charming village of Matho, nestled at the foot of a majestic peak. Experience the authentic culture of Ladakh and enjoy the hospitality of the locals before returning to Leh.

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (5,600m/18,373ft) and Camel Safari
  • Visit the highest car accessible pass in the world
  • Visit desert valley of Nubra for a chance to ride the camels and quad bikes
  • Night in Nubra valley to enjoy the closeness of the stars
Scattered villages with green gardens, sea buckthorn groves along the Shyok and Nubra rivers, sand dunes of the cold desert, Bactrian camels traversing the sands, hot springs, the multicolored Himalayan range, and a vast turquoise sky make this valley truly magical.

Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso Lake and Leh
  • Morning puja prayer ceremony at Diskit Monastery
  • Thrilling drive alone winding roads to mesmeriying Pangong Tso Lake
  • Meditation practice by the bonfire, stargazing
  • Night in a hotel with glass roof with views of the MilkyWay
Journey to the mesmerizing Pangong Tso Lake, a high-altitude marvel that changes color throughout the day. Camp on the shores of this stunning lake, straddling the border between India and China.

Pangong Tso Lake to Leh
Wake up to breathtaking views of Pangong Tso and take an optional dip in its crystal-clear waters. Return to Leh, reflecting on your incredible journey, and enjoy a farewell dinner.

Last Glimpses of Ladakh & Departure
  • Enjoy breakfast and a leisurely stroll and shopping in Leh’s streets
  • Transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for departure
Soak in the last moments of Leh's magical atmosphere before departing for Delhi. Extend your adventure with an optional tour to the iconic Taj Mahal.
How much does the tour cost?
Prepayment: $500, pay the balance upon arrival. The prepayment is non-refundable within one month of the tour start date. The prepayment will only be refunded if a replacement participant is found.

Due to the individual needs of participants, dietary choices, and flight timings, the following expenses are not included in the tour price.
Domestic flights to and from Leh
A ticket from Delhi to Leh can cost approximately $100−200, depending on the time of purchase. We can assist with purchasing tickets if needed.

Meals during the tour
Lunches and dinners in guesthouses, and snacks, are paid individually based on the requests and menu choices of the participants. This will amount to approximately $200 for the entire trip.

Visa and insurance
A one-month Indian visa is $30. It is processed online. If required, we can help connect you with an agent for visa processing. Medical insurance is optional and is obtained individually by each participant in their place of residence, approximately $20-25.
Individual transfer
Individual transfers to the airport are paid by the participant, if you arrive or depart separately from the group. It costs approximately $10-XX.
Airfare to Delhi Airport
Paid by participants independently. Depending on the departure airport, it can cost from $400−600 up to $1300 round trip.
